You mean Bris DULL? The new track SUCKS! bring back the big transition from the turns to the straights and do away with the damed progressive banking. Make it a drivers race again, it almost came down to fuel mileage...REALLY!! AT BRISTOL!!!

I had season tickets at Bristol for 5 years, spring and fall races, 'til they screwed the track up. Haven't been back

I used to be on a pit crew for a guy named Scot Walters. We ran a Late Model Stock Car #5, sponsored by Roadrunner Video Clubs locally and later on we ran some Nascar All-Pro Series (touring series) races. I loved racing at Salem, 1/2 mile 36 degree banking, it was very fast and alot of fun. Ohh...... and Joe Williamson won a couple of Late Model Championships there when he was racing Stock Cars

Rick, I helped Terry Glotzbach run some street stock up there. Thats one cool old track, shame theres so much politics. Havent been up there since the re-did everything. For watching, you cant beat sitting just off turn 4. You can see just how much speed they're carrying off of the banking. You wanna see some scary fast shit, go watch the winged sprints on the high banks. If I remember right, I think they hit the corners at around 150mph and only burp the throttle to set the car. During qualifying, you could actually hear the the tires chirp when they'd hit that bump coming out of turn 2. Those bastards is NUTS!

Side note: The weekend the wing cars were there we had a 2 day race. Well during qualifying we hurt the motor. Loaded up at 7pm, (because you cant do shit til they open the gate to let you out of the pits) went back to the shop (Georgetown In) pulled that motor, pulled another motor out of a friends drag car, swapped all accessories, and put it in the street stocker and were back at the track 7am the next day. We took naps while the wing cars practiced and somebody said "Y'all look like a bunch of ZOMBIES" soooooooooo, thats the origin of ZOMBIE RACING!!!!

That's awesome. I remember some open-wheel modifieds testing there. They had all aluminum big blocks hanging off the left frame rail in between the left side tires. They were turning high 12's and low 13 second laps. That is haulin ass.

I had a lot of fun messin with stock cars, but I think my heart is in drag racing

Amen to that Rick... But all motorsports is good to me..... Drag Racing is BEST!!!

Does anybody watch Indy or Rolex-Grand am-Le Mans???

I decided to get into drag racing because if somebody takes you out, it was probably an accident. Saw too much stuff tore up for 1 place in the finishing order at Salem and there are no small crashes there. Usually a front or/and rear clip and lots of other parts destroyed for no reason
