Guys I'm ready for the baddest Doorslammers on planet earth to finally go racing, and for those who don't know, I'm talking dang near mid 3 sec passes 200 mph, sub 4 sec runs by Blown, Nos, and Turbo cars, heck some r even on 10.5's.... not to mention the fastest and quickest pro stockers with mountain motors.....
Unfortunately Art Mcmahon and Neil Waynte won't be making this race, we hope to see them in the future on the ADRL circuit, but Aaron Glaser will be running Top Sportsman, and we should also see what Billy Glidden has done over the winter as well..... I will post a live link so we all can watch on a later date....

Wantye made the burnout, could not back up, tried to drive off the track and it appears that the safety system deployed his chutes, bringing him to a stop. From the top end, we hear that the door shook loose during the burnout.

The delays earlier today effectively ate up the time required to run a third session today.
Running later is not an option because of the high humidity - right now the temperature and the dew point are about four degrees apart and the temperature is starting to fall.
Adding a round to Sunday's schedule would put things in the same situation tomorrow night, so the round is not being postponed, it is being cancelled.
Racing will be completed this evening at the end of the Pro Extreme qualifying session and will resume with the final qualifying session at noon Saturday.

Thornton had a pending speed record at 206.51, he needed a good speed here to back that up. Well, he overachieved...the 208.62 was so fast that the 206.51 is three hundredths too slow to back it up. The record is now 206.51, with a pending record at 208.62. That's top speed of the meet for all categories, by the way.
